The Console Versus Pc Gaming Battle

Author: Jessica KosinskiNovember 19, 2008The Versus Console Gaming PC BattleIn the game world, some of us like to think that PC gamers are kings. Others, however, are much harder for the console gamers. Some walk the line and play both. So, o they have the power to stay? Is a class designed to become obsolete? Firstly, in the world of console gaming, there are three major categories these days, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii players. Certainly, some play both types and some play all three. Personally, I’m a devil Nintendo, though. In some respects, that competition actually works for console gamers. As there are three major game consoles, there are very distinctive games console games to choose among three. However, these sets are constantly changing. For example, I loved Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie on N64. Imagine my dismay when I discovered that the last game is Banjo on Xbox 360! Suddenly, they are not specific Nintendo games anymore! So now if I want to play my favorite game, I have to buy a 360. Theoretically, once I do that, I’ll see 360 other games that I love and those who buy. I’m probably not alone. This trend will probably cause a lot of you gamers out there to buy more than one system and, therefore, play more than one system. Thus, all the old school to console gamers will probably remain the console gamers, and by default, their children will probably console gamers because the games will be in the house. I do not see console games never die. So are computer games designed to go by the wayside, instead? Well, I do not think, just for pure convenience. Most of us use our computers on a daily basis. If we work interruptions or just happen to be online chatting with friends, why not play a game, especially a multiplayer online game? In fact, more and more MMORPGs are popping up. World of Warcraft, Warhammer and the like are not in danger of dying. Apart from this kind of convenience, there is also the convenience of space. If you play computer games, you do not have to deal with the system console gaming, lots of game controllers and accessories and tons of game discs and cases everywhere. Many computer games do not even require a disc to work. And then there’s the convenience of point three. If you’re already at your computer playing a game that you have the world at your fingertips, as well as find information game continues. You can easily search for game cheats, walkthroughs game, game trailers and more. Of course, if you play a game console, you can take the time to get into your computer and find the cheats, but it takes more time. Ultimately, there are no winners or losers in the battle between console and PC. I am looking forward to Diablo III comes out on PC, personally, but I’m also looking forward to the day that I can replace the Wii that my ex-boyfriend kept, too! There is no reason why we should choose one over the other. All games are a blast!

It's very calm over here, why not leave a comment?
